Daniel’s Top 75 “Favorite” Films (after 34 years)

It has been a while since I committed a “favorite” movie list to paper (digitally or physically).  I’ve seen more than the average movie lover, but less than a ton of cinefiles.  I’ve looked high and low for films to impress me; films to get lost in; My list reads as eclectic as I’d expect, yet more “vanilla” than I’d like.  Some picks are obvious.   Some picks are light on plot.  Some picks are heady, labyrinthine, pretentious even.  Then, there are some of the greatest examples of the pinnacles of animation.  This is MY list, and it has it’s obvious weaknesses (horror, foreign film, film noir, documentary).  But this is where I am, where I’ve been, and where I’m going.  This is my “Top 75” favorite films thus far (75, because there is always room for a new 25 to join the party.  Beyond the first 5 picks, these are in no specific order.  Enjoy!     —Daniel
